i think in some states they do treat people on their race but mostly they dont i mean there is still some races people and theirs still the kay kay klan
ReplyDeletei think in some states they do treat people based on their race. if you go to some place you wil only see white people and if you ask them why is that im positive they will say because they dont like black people. i dont have many examples but the fact that the k k klan is still here. i also know one guy that is races thats went to this school. im not agreeing on yes they do judge, im not saying no they dont judge im in the middle.
DeleteIf you don't have any evidence, how can you be so "positive." It is probably not a good idea to over generalize and categorize people by their race. Maybe if you asked "some" or "a few people" you could know for sure they might say something like that....and where do you think that is exactly?
DeleteRace is still a factor in how people are treated in country. People are still racist. That is them. They can't help it. Yes and it will invovle them getting a job. But that is how they were raised. Just like homophobics were raised to hate against gays, lesbiens, bisexuals, and transvestites. There is no way we can get rid of it.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the job situation. There isn't a way to get rid of the racism in our country. People will be racist 20 and 50 years from now. People who go into a interview who is right for the job will not get the job becuause of the color of the skin.
DeleteI agree with you, as long as people are raising their children with those hateful and discriminatory beliefs, it will never go away. On the bright side, a lot of kids don't listen to their parents :-)
Deletei agree with you they always judge somebody about there sexually or what color they are and what look like
Deleteyes, many people are still judged on their race. Like obama many people didn't vote for obam because he was black. So when I see my people say we made it to the white house i know what they mean. Also aisan peoople in my gym class are judged because of their race. Many other people dont play with them or talk to them because of who they are and they just have to lose points in P.E. because they are not participating, but removing themselves fromm others. Personally i think its wrong to judge people on who they are period if their black or white.
ReplyDeleteThat is so true and ive herd my parents say that before ohhhh we mad it to the white house , yea i feel good that we have a black person in the white house but its other way we can celebrate having a black person in the house !
DeleteI know. And sometimes people always expect asians to be smart. Not all of them are because they are asians. I know one person who is asian but he isn't that smart. Nobody should be judged on their race. Also people keep saying that black people can jump. I know that it is true, but I am part black and I can't jump. I probably could but I don't really try.
Deleteyes i agree with the barack obama thing because he is black he cant do anything and now he is the president and he did do something he became the first black president.
DeleteDo you try to invite the Asian students in gym to play with you? You could be an agent of change.
DeleteJust like some people didn't vote for Obama because he is black, many people did because he is black. I guess its a double edged sword.
yes i think it happens everywhere you go , theres always that one white person or that one black person that think they have to say some about each other ,why because they need to make they self feel better then one another !
ReplyDeleteYea i agree, why can't they just get along
Deletei agree because someone always have to have a word in something!
DeleteI agree but isn't just black's and white's. It can be hipanic's and all. We all should just get alone because MLKJ didn't sacrifice his life so it can remand the same now. Rosa Parks stayed on the bus so everyone could sit anywhere on the bus not only in the back. As I see black student's now they want to go to the back of the bus. There is a reason why Rosa Parks fought for us to sit anywhere and all they want to do is sit in the back.
Deletei think race is still an issue today becuase they always be talking about about other people and there skin saying how they different, some people say that black people are thiefs, but to me and all my family they really dont care about color but it kind of makes me mad how people are racist because to me all colors are still human soo they should all be treated the same!!!
ReplyDeleteTRUUUUEEEE!!!!!!, i do hear people talk about black people being way different than other people, but i know white people that steal, smoke weed, droppedout of high school, and do other ignorant things, but you dont see me talking about them because i see black people do the same thing.
DeleteRace may or may not be a barrier depending on where you live. In most places it is not a barrier because the united states has learned to live with different races for hundreds of years. I think if you go to a place like Vermont (95% white) then race can be a barrier because they do not have a multicultural enviornment.
ReplyDelete-salim
no some black people live in a rich house but most white people still dont like him cuz he black it has happen before.
DeleteYes, I think people still are treated because of their race. Kids are getting kidnapped because of their race. Race doesn't just have to be the color of your skin. Race could be the country you're from (etc.). If you think back a year ago, when that black boy got shot because he was black and up to no good. Even though he was just walking to his house minding his own bussness. That's a good example of racism. Yes I think people get treated for being a different race.
ReplyDeleteI agree a person has no right to take a life especially because of race.
DeleteI Agree But Its Not Just Kids Being Kidnapped Its Also Other Problems Do To Racism ...
DeleteI disagree with kids are getting kidnapped because of their race. It all depends on the person who kidnaps. It is the race of the person that depends on the kidnapping or what they are like. I agree on the little boy, Kiwan. He was trying to get into his house when a white cop shot him. That was messed up when he said that Kiwan had a weapon.
DeleteWell your right about that but he was shot because he wasn't seen in that neighborhood and the white guy shot him. It was a sign of rascism though because you dont have to shoot a person because he hasn't been seen in the neighborhood. So yeah i agree on that, that is a sign of rascism.
DeleteI think a person's race has both positive and negative impact. It defines who they are and the way the person lives, and speaks if they speak the native tongue. On the other hand, people label you by your race and stereotypes of that race.
ReplyDeletePeople still face barriers today there is a lot of racism that goes on today even in this school.
Race Is Still An Issue Today Because Like if Someone Thats Not The Same Color As the Other Person Many People Would Try To Judge Them By Their Color .. Example:A Black Person Walking Into A Store, && a White Woman Was In The Store Too She Try To Hold On Tight To Her Bag && Make A Face At The Black Man .. But The Black Man Could Be A Nice Man, He May Have A Good Job Or A Wealthy Home Style. But Race Will Always Be Around Because Someone May Not Like Someone Skin Color >.< But We Cant Make Them Like Someone By Their Skin Color Its Up To Them To LIke Someone Skin Color .. >.<
ReplyDeleteLol Thats Way Different But The Black Man Would Fight For His Purse ..
Deletei agree they always think about a black person is going to steal i think they should give a black person a chance and not think that a black person is not going to steal
DeleteYour so right accept the clerk would give the black man a bad look. Only beause he or she thinks that every black person man or woman is a theif some dont think like that but most do.
DeleteI agree. A black person who is sagging his pants is harmless because he can not run.
DeleteI really think it depends on the situation and circumstance. In many cases where race is a barrier it is due to the historical implications. For example, many minorities don't have access to the same housing, jobs and education as the majority. I think that this maybe, not because a lot of people today are racist, but because of former racist that caused these minorities to be behind in achievements. However, I do think that some people do and say things that are offensive and this behavior comes from their ignorance about race. One time, a woman in the grocery store referred to me as, "a pretty little colored girl." Although she thought she was giving me a compliment, I was offended. 1)I was not any one's girl, but an adult woman. 2) I felt she was implying black girls aren't normally pretty. 3) "Colored" is a term used during the days of Jim Crow and segregation. But,I said, "thank you" and kept it moving. That was 7 years ago and it still bothers me.
ReplyDeleteI do think race is still a factor in how people are treated.
ReplyDeleteI think this beacause if someone looks hispanic then they automaically think their a hispanic and they speak spanish only. Same with african americans, people think their not smart enough to go to college and that their going to end up not having a good job and all that... yeah some might do drugs but NOT all of them do, and because they 'sag' their pants don't mean their 'thugs' or bad people.
I've seen and heard these kind of things, some in school and some outside of school. I don't like it.
sagging your pants is a direct indication that the sagger is a cold blooded thug who steals milk from asian supermarkets.
Deletei agree i persons race has nothing to do with their culture.
Deleteyes i think rasim is still going on ? people still judge other people. some people think that black poeple are not smart and think were not going to make it to college.Think that white people are better us cause they have alot of stuff than us and were just poor. Also they think that muslism are going to blow us up ! and also think that there terrosit because they were scarf and think that there not equal like us .more about african amercian they think that we make the the most problems at of all people .
ReplyDeleteI disagree. I don't think racism is alive anymore. We are in 2013 and everyone is equal, black people can do anything white people can do and they should not use racism as an excuse.
Delete-Salim
why argue about it when we can try to stop when we see racism happening
ReplyDeleteyes usally with relationship with freinds techer students works employies famlies and countries ive witness it at cental highschool my mothers white so even at the store people use to juge me as a child people think cause suposly talk and kinda act like a white kid that as rapper im fake these people donnt know what ive done or been throw
ReplyDeleteuhm what you trying to say about latinos now?
ReplyDeleteand i don't agree with people that say african americans are poor and ca't get jobs....some that i know here at school are very smart and have great futures.
